Many of us on the organizing team aren’t just behind the scenes—we’re also active athletes who regularly take part in various races. These experiences are incredibly valuable to us, because everything we see, feel, and learn at running events across the country inspires and shapes how we organize our own race each September.
It might sound funny, but for us, a day like this is a kind of professional development—just the best kind: filled with running, biking, unforgettable memories, and good friends.
This year, our five-person team once again took on the 130 km distance. And as usual, we did it a bit differently than most relay teams. While others used cars to move between relay points, we chose bikes. That meant whenever a team member wasn’t running, they were cycling—either supporting the runner on the road or making their way to their next stage.
This solution was a much bigger challenge, especially under the scorching sun and in the intense heat, but in return, it truly was zero-emission transport.
Our team completed the full course in 12 hours and 19 minutes, crossing the finish line happy, proud, and full of unforgettable memories.
These are the moments that remind us why we love running so much—the shared struggles, the connection with nature, and the pure joy of sport.
